HAP HOTELS ABOVE PARAuthor Affiliate Studio

Hotels Above Par · Author Affiliate Program

Your HAP revenue toolkit.

One working desk for participating HAP authors: your Premium link, product code, ready-to-use promotion copy, disclosure language, channel guidance, and the repeatable habits that make affiliate revenue more than a one-post experiment.

Two ways to earn.

The mechanics are deliberately simple. Premium memberships use your personal link. Eligible digital products use your author code at checkout.

Premium membership

Share your Premium link.

Your personal HAP Premium link sends readers to the normal Hotels Above Par Upgrade page and carries your author attribution in the background.

Commission: 15% on the first qualifying HAP Premium membership transaction attributed to your link. Renewals are not currently commissioned.

There is no special Premium reader discount attached to the author link at this time.

Boutique Books + eligible products

Share the product and your code.

For eligible HAP digital products, give the reader your assigned author code to enter at checkout. The same code can be used across eligible products.

Reader benefit: 5% off when your code is active for that product.

Commission: 15% of qualifying net merchandise revenue after the reader discount and any refunds.

Your affiliate desk.

Enter the details HAP assigned you. They stay in this browser only and are used to personalize the copy bank below.

Nothing entered here is submitted to Hotels Above Par. This tool saves your values locally on your own device. You can also arrive with ?name=, ?author=, and ?code= in the URL to prefill the desk.

Current Boutique Books.

You can earn on an eligible HAP product even when you did not write it. Recommend the resource that genuinely fits the traveler in front of you.

Premium recommendation

Newsletter footer

Useful first. Promotional second.

The strongest affiliate recommendation still sounds like you. Start with judgment, context, or a real travel problem. Then point to HAP when it actually helps.

Start with the traveler.

Use a real question, frustration, itinerary decision, or story as the reason for the recommendation.

Give value before the sale.

Add your own expertise. A naked link or code is rarely the most persuasive version of the recommendation.

Use the correct tool.

Premium membership equals your personal Premium link. Eligible digital product equals product page plus your author code.

Make the reader benefit obvious.

Explain why the resource saves time, sharpens a trip, or gives access to HAP’s reported travel library.

Disclose the financial relationship.

Keep the disclosure close to the recommendation so a normal reader will notice it.

Where to use it

Anywhere your audience already trusts you.

Newsletter · website · Instagram captions and Stories · Facebook · LinkedIn · Threads · X · podcast or video descriptions · destination-planning emails · direct replies when someone asks for a recommendation.

Community: authority first, revenue second. Answer from lived expertise, return to conversations, and recommend a HAP resource only when it belongs there. Do not drop codes into unrelated threads or cold-message members with offers.

Disclosure
“I may earn a commission if you purchase from Hotels Above Par through my link or using my code.”

Your personalized link or code does not replace a clear disclosure that you may earn money from the purchase.

Your 20-minute monthly habit.

Small enough to repeat. Useful enough to compound.

Minutes 1–10

Choose one fit.

Pick one eligible HAP resource that genuinely matches your audience this month, then choose one travel problem or angle that makes the recommendation useful.

Minutes 11–20

Publish, then participate.

Schedule one useful promotion, then spend a few minutes in HAP Community answering anything that fits your expertise.

Program FAQ.

The operational rules authors are most likely to need after onboarding.

Can I earn on a Boutique Book I did not write?

Yes. For eligible products, the qualifying commission follows the author code used at checkout, not the product byline.

Can I share my Premium link on social media?

Yes. Your personal Premium link is designed to be shared in newsletters, websites, social posts, video descriptions, messages, and QR codes. It sends the reader to the normal HAP Upgrade page while carrying your attribution.

Does my Premium link give the reader a discount?

Not currently. It uses the normal HAP Upgrade page and normal displayed pricing.

Are Premium renewals commissioned?

Not under the current program structure. The commission applies to the first qualifying HAP Premium membership transaction attributed to your link.

What happens after a refund?

Product commissions are based on qualifying net merchandise revenue. A full refund eliminates the commission on that sale; later refunds may be reflected as an adjustment.

Why is my product code not working?

The product must be live and the author discount must be active for that product. Contact your HAP program contact if an eligible product should be live but your code is not being accepted.
